For thousands of years, Ayurvedic practitioners have leaned on three herbs above all others when it comes to building resilience from within. Tulsi, Ashwagandha, and Moringa aren't trends — they are the backbone of a wellness tradition that has stood the test of time.
Tulsi — The Queen of Herbs
Known as Holy Basil in the West, Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) is revered in Indian households as both a spiritual plant and a medicinal powerhouse. Its adaptogenic properties help the body manage stress, while its antibacterial compounds support respiratory health.
At HnH, we source our Tulsi from small-batch farms in Madhya Pradesh, where it is shade-dried to preserve volatile oils that are typically destroyed in industrial processing.
How to use it: Steep 5–6 fresh or dried leaves in hot water for 5 minutes. Add a slice of ginger and a drop of raw honey for a morning immunity shot.
Ashwagandha — The Root of Strength
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) translates roughly to "smell of horse" — a reference to the potency and vitality it is said to impart. Modern research increasingly backs what Ayurveda has known: this root reduces cortisol levels, supports thyroid function, and may improve physical endurance.
Our Ashwagandha is sourced from Rajasthan's arid belt, where the dry soil conditions concentrate the active compound withanolides at their highest natural levels.
Moringa — The Miracle Tree
Gram for gram, Moringa leaves contain more iron than spinach, more calcium than milk, and more vitamin C than oranges. The Moringa tree grows abundantly across Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, and its leaves have been used in traditional medicine for everything from inflammation to blood sugar management.
We include Moringa powder in our daily wellness range precisely because it is one of the few plant sources that covers a wide nutritional spectrum without needing to be processed aggressively.
HnH picks: All three herbs are available individually or as part of our Immunity Bundle — cold-pressed, unsweetened, and shelf-stable for up to 18 months.
Why Sourcing Matters
The potency of any herb is only as good as the soil it grows in, the conditions it is harvested under, and how it is processed. Industrial supply chains often expose raw herbs to heat above 60°C during drying, which destroys the very phytonutrients you are trying to consume.
Every batch at HnH goes through a three-step quality check: field verification, moisture testing, and third-party lab analysis for heavy metal content. We publish these reports on request.
